aManaBroad

This past June we went to Europe for two weeks. We never blogged about it because we were originally going to start a new blog/vidcast called "aManaBroad" which was going to chronicle our trips abroad this year. But due to this summer being extremely stressful and us having to deal with a lot of loss and change, we decided against it.

We flew from LA to Monte Carlo. When you fly First Class with British Airways they give you some comfy little jammies. This is me in my jammies in the First Class bathroom after waking up from a ten hour flight. I love that there's a window in the First Class bathroom. Hey look, there's England!

We flew from Nice to London. First stop? Beans on toast of course. We checked into the Sherlock Holmes Hotel on Baker Street. It's pretty rad. I had been there once before and could have spent all day in the lounge with several Guinness.

This is a pic of a cop stopping to check out what was going on inside the phone booth. It was some guy with his pants down. Ummm, yep.

No trip is complete without a stop at the local emergency room! I always make sure to travel with my hypochondria and anxiety :)

We also spent a night at our most favourite place, Browns Hotel in Mayfair. Very fancypants but totally awesome. Jorge wanted to get a pic with the doorman and his hat.

We then flew to Ireland for our first trip to Northern Ireland. Just north of Belfast we stayed at The Ballygally Castle Hotel. It was said to be haunted by a young woman who leapt to her death from that top tower window on the left.

Our main goal in Northern Ireland was to see the Giant's Causeway. It was a pretty phenomenal sight but we were unfortunately sort of bombarded with fans and had to make our way back onto the bus quickly and escape so we didn't get to enjoy it for very long :(

We stayed a couple of nights at the Culloden Estate Hotel in Belfast which was another fancypants place with a fabulous spa. Ahhh, massages. We enjoyed a lot of tea time in the sitting room. It was nice :)

We made a quick stop at the Bushmill's Distillery to grab some grog!

And we also stayed a couple of nights at the Bushmill's Inn. Each room was named after a booze and this was the one down the hall from ours!
