Your fans are really sad about you leaving as well, but I hope there are more adventures out there for the both of you that will be even more wonderful. Best of luck!
It may be sad, but it's also exciting to start a new adventure, right? I've only been in Hawaii for about nine months and I'm really sad to be leaving too. I'm going to a cold and damp place (Seattle) for a few months and then I don't know where. I'm grateful to know that I can go anywhere I want, and I can even come back to Hawaii later on if that's the right thing to do. I'm sure you guys will be on to something fun and amazing.
Also, anywhere's gotta have less bugs... or in your case, rats.
I don't know how you are going to be able to leave Beth. I only visited for two weeks and I was totally bummed out when we left. I went to this beach to swim and sunbathe every few days on our trip. It is too beautiful.
I learned to walk on this beach, and count the days until I can retire and move back.
If you think you'll vaguely miss it now just wait until you move away to a place with freeways, traffic, smog and attitudes. You'll be back in Kailua town in a heartbeat.
Love the photo but it's so sad. It's so beautiful there and I bet the people are wonderful. I hope you will both keep writing when this is all done, we have grown to love you both.
Wowwww! So Wonderfulllllllll! Awesome Jorge's picture! It's interesting, if you will move away from Hawaii- Jorge will change your blog's name or not - Dispatches from the island???? You can to ask him?
Very nice picture. Hope you guys keep your blogs going. Jorge signed a picture of my puppy that we named after his LOST character. Jorge seems like he's as nice in real life as he is in reel life. Looking forward to buying your book & reading it with my kids.
this is trippy, but we just got back from our first ever Oahu vacation last week and on our last day there we drove around trying to find some sea turtles and ended up spot on to where you took that pic! parking in that neighborhood and then cutting thru one of the little public access alleyways you have no idea what you're about to see until you clear it and it just steals your breath. as soon as i saw that pic i knew it was Lanikai.
we hope to get back there in a couple of years. we rented a little place in Punalu'u, away from the craziness. i'm SO jealous that you got to spend so much time there, but i bet it makes it that much harder to leave. forgive me if you've already answered this somewhere, i'm new to following you, but where do you plan to go after you guys leave Oahu?

I love that beach! Hawaii is the best, I know it is sad to leave, but be happy that you got to live there for 6 years (or however long)
