I know what Hurley will be doing at the end of the next season... He'll be recording a transmission with 'the numbers' in hopes of them being a encrypted message to the future Hurley to tell him how to properly deal with with time traveling loop they are stuck in. It's like episode #118 of Star Trek TNG "Cause and Effect" where the Enterprise was caught in a time warp that had them repeating the same 17 days over and over again, and always resulting in them blowing themselves up at the end when they made the wrong decision. Data programed an encrypted message that kept repeating the number 3 in all sorts of places. Finally, he realized that the 3 stood for the three insignia dots on Riker's uniform meaning that Picard should take Riker's advice instead of Data's. The right choice was made, they survived and they broke the cycle of the time loop.
So my theory is that Hurley's numbers are a message like that. Hurley's not cursed... he's going to save the day once he remembers what message the numbers carry.
Yeah, but its not the same...the only thing anywhere near as good as TNG was Voyager...
(OMG I am such a geek!)
Beth: Sorry your Blog has degenerated into a Star Trek fanboard, but it was only a matter of time: it happens to all blogs eventually...that's not my opinion by the way, that's physics!

Never heard of him....
I'm only joking
(In case there are any hard core Lost fans getting ready to hunt me down...)
Whoa! Is that Brad Pitt?

Okay.. that last post made me double geeky. Over-theorizing "Lost" by comparing it to "Star Trek". Gawd.. could I be a bigger nerd??!
;-)
No dude...(but that's ok)
Thanks. I feel accepted.. just the way I am. :-)
Just so you know, that was an awesome episode of Star Trek...almost as good as All Good Things...can you believe that was 15 years ago!
I miss Star Trek. I must get out to see that movie. I hear that it's all set up for sequels!! :-)

I'm glad to see that your man still cares about the untold bits of the show's mythos!
...I will admit that I'm talking about Libby's backstory. Sometimes I feel like her only remaining fan. :/
Also...am I the only person in the world who isn't a fan of Star Trek?! X-Files for life!
