the following situation happens very often: jorge and i go somewhere, we notice people noticing him, they act like they are taking a picture of their friends in front of something completely random but instead are sneaking a picture of jorge. now, i don't want to sound like a dick, or come off uppity. i actually think it's pretty funny just how obvious most people are when they think that they are being subtle.
but i've decided that from now on i'm going to turn the tables on these people and carry my camera with me EVERYWHERE we go and when i see them sneaking a pic i will snap a pic of them doing it and then post it here to make them look like dummies.
we were just on kauai the past few days and this foursome was sitting at the table next to us at breakfast. they finished their meal and then headed over to the other side of the room to take pics of themselves in front of.....the tables of other people eating breakfast? yeah, right. dummies.

It's funny that people do that instead of just asking for a pic. But YOU taking pictures of them is just priceless! Can't wait to see the coffee table book! You go girl!
while i hope you guys don't experience too many of these dummies behaving this way, I sure can't wait to see more of your photos of them! Too funny!

Yea, very cool perspective... I love how, in this pic, the woman has a huge grin on her face as if she thinks she's committed the perfect "sneak shot" and her man is playing it off as if he doesn't know what's going on. "Honey, is the camera working ok? Take a picture just to find out".

Oh wait! I just realized that the couple standing in front are the "decoys" haha. Nice. So her sitting down, not aiming up at the couple and shooting off to the side makes for a perfect photo opp... Rrrriighhhttt.

I always find myself blog-hopping over here from Jorge's, mainly because the two of you are entertaining... case in point. I guess people think that interrupting your meal is more rude and invasive. If the picture totally told the story, it would be a great "FAIL" pic. I don't doubt that you'll have an excellent collective.
So if I ever see you I'll just ask for a pic, instead of being a dummy. Or maybe I'll be a dummy and look for my face on your blog! Damn. Now I'm gunna have to think about it.
I might have given her some slack for not bothering you all while you were eating and being discreet, but the sh*t-eatin' grin on her face makes me feel otherwise.
yeah. i mean, we totally don't mind if people wait and ask him when we're leaving the restaurant. no prob. it's just when people do the sneaky thing, or they interrupt jorge mid-bite. that's no good.
